Nambu Tekki Iron Kettle is a traditional craft from Iwate with a history of 900 years. It boasts a simple and warm texture, and its unique feature is that its charm increases with use. Boiling water in it provides a rich source of easily absorbable ferrous iron, making it effective for iron supplementation. Before your initial use and after each use, rinse the inside of the iron kettle lightly, then fill it up to about 80% with water and let it boil for approximately 15 minutes. (Initially, the water may become cloudy due to the presence of rust, so repeat this process about three times until the boiled water becomes clear before using it.) If you haven't used it for an extended period and are starting to use it again, perform the same procedure.
